Ex-ex-gay to speak at Lambeth
The controversial campaigner Peterson Toscano is to do a gig at Lambeth, courtesy of the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement. 'He’ll be a great, refreshing antidote to all the absurdities surrounding the sexuality and women bishops debates,' says chief exec Richard Kirker. Here's an early taster.

Watching the "free sample" wasn't much better than hearing fingernails scraping down a chalkboard. This is one of those torture devices designed to break "the enemy's" will, isn't it?

So who is setting the agenda for Lambeth? I thought it was to be small table group discussions? Now there will be a variety of stump speeches from each side of the battle? Sounds like politics as usual.

So ++Canterbury has not only arranged a conference in which nothing will be decided, but one in which there will be clowns for entertainment. Will ++Rowan stand and play the fiddle as the church falls around him, too?

The gays will howl with laughter and the ex-gays - and there are many who see through the triteness of Peterson's shows - will cringe at such a farce.

How could Mr Toscano's peformance possibly upstage our holy brethren? Judging by the preparatory rancour, posturing and invective so far witnessed Lambeth already presents as a circus!
Bring on the empty horses!

I'm really really glad they've invited Peterson along. I saw his performance of 'Doing Time in the Homo-no-mo Halfway House' at Greenbelt a couplle years back, and, although very funny, it's also very moving.
I've never meet Peterson, but we have a number of mutual friends, so I'm also excitd for him to have this oppourtunity!

there is no such thing as ex-ex-gay because one can never be ex-gay to start

If we start a whip round, we can buy a ticket and send it to Peter Akinola. He seems like a bloke who needs to have a laugh.

Yet more evidence that Lambeth will simply be a circus.
At least those going to Gafcon will get to enjoy a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
