Lambeth Diary: Inside the wire

Abc1 A colleague here was braver than me today and crept behind the wire. This is what he found. Canon Jim Rosenthal, the man responsible for the press operation, in full flight on his scooter, but still finding time to waggle his finger. Things are getting better. I By the end of the conference, I feel, we won't even notice the fences are there. Had inspiring exchange with Rhode Island's Geralyn Wolf. (Married to a Mr Thomas Bair.) It's going to be a good Lambeth. Am just off to mingle with the WAGs at a party to launch Jane Williams' new book, Marriage, Mitres and Being Myself.  Photo by George Conger.

That's better, Ruth. You sound better.

Oh Ruth, just when we were counting on you not to bought off with a cream bun. Don't sell off the C of E. and the AC cheaply. There is a difference between the Christian faith and English nostalgia, painful though it may be to acknowledge it. Also why do you dump a plug for Jane W's self-serving book on us (with or without the useful hug) so early in the morn?

Wait - don't stop now :>) Those of us close to Rhode Island have to know more about your "inspiring exchange with Rhode Island's Geralyn Wolf."
