Chinese whisphers: Ni Hao Ma!
Fun at The Times this week, where Joanna Sugden has started working for Times Online. You can read some of her stories on our online faith page. To break her in gently, I sent her to Chatham House to report on a speech by Rowan Williams on his recent visit to China. The Chatham House rule was lifted. As she wrote, Dr Williams described how rapidly Christianity is growing in China. I decided the first version of her story needed hardening up a bit, however. So I rewrote it. And of course the inevitable happened. Lambeth Palace, ever so gently, complained. So I wrote it back.
