From Act Three of Nicholas Rowe's Tamerlane (1701), a once popular verse drama about – among other things – a tyrant (admittedly Turkish rather than Syrian), his downfall and the irreparable damage he does . . . .

In what way is Assad a ’Tyrant’?
ALL Muslim states are autocratic, like Syria,its built in to their whole way of life, thought and the Muslim religion. Most states in the Arab League (which is secretively supportive of these Syrian Rebel Army terrorist attacks) are a hundred times more tyrannical than Assads socialist Syria ,however they happily put all their oil money through London and New York and are thus safely on the side of the West.
Americas fanatical hatred of socialism has now destroyed socialist Afghanistan Iraq Libya and soon Syria.Israel naturally pushes America in these matters as it does not want healthy educated Arab states.
In addition America will always attack Russia which has connections with Syria.
The ’tyrants’ who once ran these socialist states created free universal education and healthcare for all the people and a reasonable equality of wealth
Unfortunately it was not difficult to destroy these healthy Arab socialist states as many Muslims feel uncomfortable with socialism as conflicting with their religion. Throw in a few CIA/SAS agents and some very secret weapon funding and you soon have a situation where the warlord, gangster ,and religious fanatics take over and push the people back to the ninth century.
What America Britain and Israel have done to these nations in the last few years has been one of the worlds great war atrocities involving tens of millions of men women and children.
The British and American people should be deeply ashamed....
